What is Open Source?
Open Source is a type of software that is written by
a community of developers who work to constantly improve the product.
Typically, all or parts of this software source code is open to anyone
who wants to look, thereby increasing the number of developers who
can improve the product. This software is often free, and therefore
reduces the cost to you, to use the software.
Currently, Mid-Illini Communications uses the following
Open Source software:

- Linux (Red Hat)
- PHPCollab
